Line a baking sheet or large plate with parchment paper or wax paper. This will keep the Oreo balls from sticking and make cleanup easier.
Add the Halloween Oreos and softened cream cheese to a food processor. Pulse until the mixture turns into a thick, sticky dough and no large cookie pieces remain. Scrape down the sides if needed. If you do not have a food processor, crush the Oreos in a zip-top bag with a rolling pin. Transfer the crumbs to a bowl and mix them with the softened cream cheese until well combined. Roll the Oreo mixture between your palms to form smooth balls. Place the balls on the lined baking sheet, spacing them slightly apart.
Refrigerate the Oreo balls for 20 to 30 minutes, or until they are firm to the touch. If you are in a rush, chill them in the freezer for approximately 10 to 15 minutes instead.
Add some white candy melts to a microwave-safe bowl (it’s better to work in small batches), and reserve a small amount for the mummy bandages. Add a little neutral oil and melt according to the package instructions. Stir until the coating is completely smooth.
Work with a few chilled Oreo balls at a time, keeping the rest in the refrigerator. Drop one Oreo ball into the melted candy and use a fork to turn it gently until completely coated.
Lift the Oreo ball out with the fork and tap the fork against the side of the bowl so the excess coating can drip off. Carefully slide the coated ball onto the parchment paper.
While the coating is still wet, press two candy eyeballs onto the front of each Oreo ball. Repeat until all the Oreo balls have been dipped and decorated with eyes.
Allow the white candy coating to set completely. You can leave the Oreo balls at room temperature or refrigerate them for approximately 10 minutes if you need them to set more quickly. Keep in mind that a sudden temperature change can occasionally cause the coating to crack.
Melt the reserved white candy melts with a small amount of oil and transfer the coating to a small piping bottle or piping bag. Drizzle thin lines across each Oreo ball, moving in different directions to create the appearance of mummy bandages. Pipe some lines around the eyes, but be careful not to cover them completely.
Allow the piped bandages to set before serving or transferring the Oreo balls to a storage container.
Store leftover Mummy Oreo Balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 to 5 days.
