Ingredients

  • 1 box brownie mix for a 13x9 pan
  • Other ingredients for your brownies according to your brownie mix usually eggs, oil and water
  • 12-15 Oreos roughly chopped
  • 1 cup red and green M&Ms

Instructions

  • Start by preheating your oven to the temperature listed on your brownie mix box. Spray a 9x13-inch pan with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  • In a large bowl, prepare your brownie batter according to the instructions on the box. You can use whatever mix you prefer; fudgy or chewy both work great here.
  • Gently fold in most of the chopped Oreos red and green M&Ms, but save a decent amount to sprinkle on top later for a fun, festive pop.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for about 15 minutes, or for about ¾ of the time your box mix tells you to. For me, it said 21 minutes, so that was around 15 minutes.
  • Remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle the reserved Oreos and M&Ms into the top of the brownies. This step keeps the toppings visible and prevents them from sinking.
  • Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting them into squares. For the cleanest slices, chill the brownies in the fridge for about 30 minutes before cutting.
