Here’s everything you’ll need to make these festive bars:

- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
- 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup red and green M&M’s

- 12-15 Oreos, roughly chopped
Optional: reserve a few M&Ms, sprinkles and a bit of Oreos to sprinkle on top halfway through baking. It makes them look bakery-perfect every time.
How to Make Christmas Blondies
This recipe is so simple, you’ll want to make it on repeat all season long. Here’s how it comes together:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang for easy removal.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
3. Add eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until combined.
4. Add in the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix until just combined; avoid overmixing.
5. Fold in ¾-ish cups of M&M’s, most of the sprinkles and most of the Oreos (reserve the rest for decorating the top).
6. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
7. Bake for about 15 minutes, then sprinkle extra M&M’s, sprinkles and a few chopped Oreos on top for decoration
8. Bake for an additional 10-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
9. Cool completely in the pan before slicing into bars.
Pro Tips for the Best Christmas Blondies
- Don’t skip the parchment paper. It makes removing and slicing the blondies so much easier.
- Use room temperature ingredients. Especially the egg, because this helps everything mix smoothly.
- Be careful when judging how “done” they are. It’s funny, I never had this problem until I had a gas oven! However, now that I have a gas oven, I notice that things take longer to bake than I expect them to. The best way to tell if these blondies are done is to look at the edges and top and then to also stick a toothpick in the middle. Oftentimes, I find that the edges of mine are golden and baked long before the middle is, but everyone’s oven is also different, so just watch yours. Perform “the toothpick test” to check for doneness; if the toothpick comes out clean when you stick it in the very middle of the blondies, they’re done.
- Sprinkle some extra toppings on top. I know this is in the instructions too, but I really think it adds a touch of prettiness to this recipe for pretty much no extra effort. Keep aside a few M&Ms, some sprinkles and some Oreo bits before baking. About halfway through (lean towards a bit more than halfway for best results), remove the pan from the oven and evenly sprinkle the extras on top. Then, pop everything back in the oven until baked. It makes a huge difference for presentation in the end

FAQs
Can I use dark brown sugar instead of light?
Yes! It’ll give the blondies a slightly richer, more caramel-y flavor. Either dark or light works.
How do I store blondies?
Store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days. You can also freeze them for up to 2 months. Just slice and wrap individually for easy grab-and-go treats.
What kind of Oreos work best?
I usually use Double Stuf Oreos (They’re my favorite!), but Christmas Oreos with red filling look super cute in these if you can find them. Regular Oreos also work just fine!
Can I add chocolate chips too?
For sure! If you want extra chocolatey blondies, feel free to toss in 1/4 to 1/2 cup of chocolate chips along with the M&Ms and Oreos.
What kind of sprinkles should I use?
I recommend a Christmas-themed blend of sprinkles that is primarily jimmies or something more “sturdy.” I think things like sanding sugar would probably just dissolve in the batter in the end and wouldn’t really be visible.

Whether you’re baking for a Christmas party, or just want something sweet to enjoy at home, these Christmas Blondies are a perfect choice. They’re soft, chewy, and filled with festive mix-ins that make them stand out on any dessert table. These festive holiday treats always disappear fast, so you might want to bake a second batch just in case!
